What to do in Ushuaia

Ushuaia is the place for everyone to enjoy a variety of Winter activities. In the town there is an Outdoor Skating Rink , which is usually frozen during July and August.

25 Kilometres out of the town there is a Nordic Ski Center - Las Cotarras. Cross country ski equipment can be hired along with sledges, snowshoes and snow mobiles.

Nearby Las Cotarras is the Husky Dog Sledding Centre of Altos de Valle. Short excursions around a 2km track can be done to get a taste of what it is like to race through forests at break neck speed. Longer trips can be arranged, including a night trip across the valley wearing head torches, to then warm yourself at a camp fire.

Search for the Beavers in the Tierra del Fuego National Park.. Their dams are evident, but you need to look long and hard during the winter months to find them.

Visit the Station at the end of the World and take the steam train into the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
