  • How to book

  • Please contact us by e-mail or telephone us on ++44 (0)1250 870955. As Travel Consultants we provide streamlined monitored contact with the agents that we use in Buenos Aires. This means that all the information that you receive regarding your holiday has come directly from Argentina via our offices. This ensures that any concerns you have can be raised with us in the UK and we are fully in the picture. Your holiday payment is paid directly to the Argentine agents UK account and that is arranged between yourselves and them. Obviously should there be any problems Estelle and Susie can be contacted on the telephone number at the address below or emailed at info@skiargentina.co.uk. If you wish to view our terms and conditions please click here.

Full payment must be made 60 days prior to date of departure to ensure that hotels, vehicles, taxis and guides booked up for your itinerary are not then re-booked by another party. Please note that in booking and confirming your holiday you are agreeing to abide by the Niche Encounters Terms and Conditions and the Terms and conditions of the agents in Argentina.

  • Flights and Airport Tax

  • We are a travel consultancy company here in UK whose purpose is to advise on travel options in Argentina.  We are not a travel agency so you will need to book your own flights out to Buenos Aires.

The travel agency we find most efficient in UK is Trailfinders in London. They are fully ATOL bonded which means you are protected in the very very unlikely event of their insolvency! The contact numbers for Trailfinders if you are a group of 10 or more is 0207 938 3366. The Trailfinders individual flights number is 0207 938 3939.

If going through other travel agencies please ensure that the agency you deal with is ATOL bonded.

Please note that airport tax may not be included in the travel agents quote for your flights. Trailfinders include this tax in their ticket quote, so again if looking elsewhere please ensure you are not caught out by this.

Flights to Buenos Aires take from approx 12 hours with airlines such as British Airways, Alitalia, Lufthansa, Iberia, Aerolineas Argentinas, Aire France, Aeroflot, KLM and Swissair. All are good carriers and will have a luggage weight restriction. If taking your own ski equipment, please check with airline beforehand that there is no outsized baggage surcharge. Please be aware that there is an exit tax of 52 pesos (which can only be paid in cash in either dollars or pesos for exchange rate click here please) payable when you leave Buenos Aires.

  • Insurance

  • We are a Travel Consultancy website. It must be stressed that we are NOT Travel Agents. This primarily means that we have no company liability insurance. The onus is on yourselves to book your own international flight (through a bonded ATOL agent, (for example Trail Finders) and to have your own holiday travel insurance. Suggested companies you could consider might include, the BMC, Tel: 0161 445 4747, the SCGB, Tel: 08700 759 759; Douglas Scott Tyrie, Tel 020 8522 3424; Snowcard, Tel: 01327 262 805; and Fogg Travel Insurance Services, Tel: 01623 631 331.
