  • Guided City Tour First off a guided city tour to orientate yourself: This takes about three and a half hours (or four and a half if you can be persuaded to take in a tango lesson!). The tour takes in the main square, Plaza de Mayo, the Cathedral, the Casa Rosada, Avienda de Mayo with its Art-Nouveau and Deco buildings, its' cafes, the Congress House and the Colon Opera House. Then take a vintage subway for a short stretch to experience the city life and admire the lovely wagons and stations and arise to the famed Café Tortoni, an Art Nouveau landmark of Buenos Aires to sip a cup of coffee with croissants. (We can organise an optional tango lesson here.) Afterwards you continue to the San Telmo neighbourhood. Later continue to La Boca and finally to the elegant residential area of Barrio Norte and lastly the Recoleta Cemetery.

Colon Theatre Visit the Colon Opera House and take a backstage tour.

Museum of Latin American Art You must visit the MALBA (Buenos Aires Latin American Art Museum). Others worth a visit are The National Fine Arts Museum, and the Errazuriz Palace Decorative Arts Museum housed in a lovely French style mansion.

Designer Shopping Take a personal shopper to save you time. There are the elegant designer shops of the Recoleta district (Ralph Lauren, has a lovely house like the one in NYC. Armani has a beautifully restored building: Hermes, Fendi, Versace etc.) The patio Bullrich Shopping Centre is excellent and the trendy Palermo Viejo (Soho style) with its young designers. The shopping is so excellent in Buenos Aires, that we really recommend taking a personal shopper with you. They really do know their stuff and can take you to visit special designers that are not open to the public.

Private Factory Tours Visit a leather factory, a Gaucho store, a fine antique shop, or a silver shop and the workshop of silversmith Pallarols. Visit local jewellery designers. You can do all this with a guide.

Tango Lessons Enjoy a private Tango lesson and then go on to a Tango club to watch the locals dance, accompanied by your tango teacher and you might even pluck up the courage to dance as well!

Wine Tasting Do some Wine Tasting of the great Argentine wines.

Lunch at the Jockey Club Have lunch at the Jockey Club (accompanied by a member)

Art Studio Visit a private art studio. If you let us know what kind art you enjoy most then our agents can arrange for you to visit some of the best local artists of that genre.

Flea Market San Telmo Flea-Market (only on Sundays)

Horse Racing and Polo Go to the Horse Races or a Polo match and if you like horses take a Polo Clinic

Gaucho Fair Mataderos Gaucho Fair (only on Sundays)

Private Architectural City Tour Take an Architectural Tour of the City

Play Golf Play Golf at one of Argentina's best courses<

Visit and Estancia Take a day trip out of the city for an hour to visit an Estancia. This gives you a chance to see the countryside and the lifestyle of the traditional land barons. In the winter months the landscape is barren and bleak but you can see for miles because it is so flat!

River Boat Ride Take a boat ride along the River Plate Delta to Tigre and have lunch on a private island.

Ride a Hydrofoil Take the hydrofoil to the old village of Colonia in Uruguay and have lunch at an Estancia.

Carmelo Visit the Four Seasons Resort in Carmelo to relax, use the spa and play some golf.

Fly Away If you have more time, flights from Buenos Aires to the following are only 1 and a half to 2 hours away.
Iguazu Falls, Misiones    The Wine Country, Mendoza    Bariloche, Patagonia    San Martin, Neuquen.
